How to Prepare Matcha (Usucha Style)
You’ll need:
- 2g of Shishi Matcha
- Hot water (70–80°C or 158–176°F)
- Matcha sifter
- Chawan (tea bowl)
- Chasen (bamboo whisk)
Preparation:
- Sift the matcha into your bowl to break up any clumps.
- Add 2 oz (60 ml) of hot water.
- Whisk briskly using a zigzag “W” motion until a creamy foam appears on the surface.
