Chikusen Matcha – Uji Tea
Chikusen is a high-quality matcha that can be enjoyed both as usucha (thin tea) and koicha (thick tea), making it a versatile choice for everyday enjoyment or special tea gatherings. Crafted with care, it offers a well-balanced flavor and a rich, satisfying taste.

Preparation Instructions:

Sift the matcha powder to remove any clumps.

Using a chashaku (bamboo scoop), place 2 scoops (about 2g) into a tea bowl for usucha, or 3–4 scoops (about 3–4g) for koicha.

Add 70ml of hot water at around 80°C (176°F).

Whisk using a chasen (bamboo whisk). For usucha, use a quick back-and-forth motion until a fine foam forms. For koicha, gently knead the tea into a smooth, thick consistency without creating foam.
