How to Prepare Matcha (Traditional Usucha or Light Koicha Style)

    What you’ll need:

    • 1 serving (approx. 2g) of Ichifuku Matcha
    • Hot water (70–80°C or 158–176°F)
    • A small sifter
    • Chawan (matcha bowl)
    • Chasen (bamboo whisk)

    Steps:

    1. Sift the matcha into the bowl for a smooth, clump-free texture.
    2. Add hot water (about 2 oz or 60 ml).
    3. Whisk in a “W” motion until frothy and smooth. For slightly thin koicha, use slightly less water for a concentrated, balanced flavor.
    4. Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing aroma, clean taste, and a small moment of happiness with Ichifuku.
