This café au lait base is crafted with a “less‑sweet, adult flavor” in mind. Made from only two ingredients—coffee and beet sugar—it contains no artificial colors or additives of any kind.

When diluted 1:3 or 1:4 with milk, it becomes a gently sweet, well‑balanced café au lait. Using beet sugar gives the drink a rounded, mellow sweetness with depth and elegance. It’s delicious for both adults and children and can be enjoyed hot or iced.

100% Specialty Coffee Beans

We use only 100% specialty‑grade coffee beans. Five carefully selected origins are blended specifically for café au lait, then roasted deeply—right to the edge of caramelization—without allowing any burnt notes to appear.

Each batch uses 60 kg of coffee beans and is bottled by a small team of skilled artisans in Kyoto, where the water is exceptionally clean and pure.

Handcrafted From Start to Finish

Even the tags attached to each bottle are part of a meaningful process. Students from Akita University’s Special Needs School help with attaching the eyelets and threading the strings as part of their class activities.

Every step—from roasting to bottling to packaging—receives a human touch. This is truly a handmade café au lait base.

Serving Suggestions

Iced Café au Lait

1. Fill a glass with ice.
2. Add 30 g of café au lait base.
3. Add 140 g of milk.
4. Stir gently.
5. Enjoy a lightly sweet, smooth café au lait.

Hot Café au Lait
Mix 3 parts milk to 1 part base, then warm gently in the microwave.
