How to Prepare Ichigo Ichie Matcha (Koicha & Usucha Styles)
Usucha (Thin Tea)
You will need:

1.5–2g matcha (about 1 teaspoon)

60–70 ml (2–2.5 oz) of hot water (75–80°C / 167–176°F)

Bamboo whisk (chasen), matcha bowl (chawan), sifter
Steps:

Sift the matcha into your bowl.

Warm the bowl and whisk, then discard the water and dry the bowl.

Add matcha and pour in hot water.

Whisk quickly in a zigzag motion until frothy.

Koicha (Thick Tea)
You will need:

3–4g matcha (about 2 teaspoons)

30–40 ml (1–1.5 oz) of hot water (70–75°C / 158–167°F)
