How to Prepare Your Rikyu Mukashi Matcha

For Koicha (Thick Matcha)

Ingredients: 3.5g (approximately 2 teaspoons) of Rikyu Mukashi Matcha, 40ml (1.35 fl oz) of hot water (80°C / 176°F)

Sift the matcha into a tea bowl to ensure a smooth texture.

Add 40ml of hot water.

Use a bamboo whisk (chasen) to gently knead the matcha and water together in a circular motion until a thick, smooth consistency is achieved.

Ingredients: 2g (approximately 1 teaspoon) of Rikyu Mukashi Matcha, 70ml (2.4 fl oz) of hot water (80°C / 176°F)
