How to Prepare Ryo no Kage

Matcha: 2g (1 teaspoon)

Water: 75ml (2.5 fl. oz) at 85°C (185°F)

1. Sift the matcha powder into a warm, dry tea bowl to remove clumps and ensure a smooth, frothy texture.
2. Pour the hot water directly over the sifted matcha.
3. Whisk vigorously with a bamboo whisk (chasen) in a W or M motion until a fine layer of froth forms on the surface.
4. Enjoy immediately for the best flavor and texture.

Temperature Note: Preparing this matcha at the recommended 85°C (185°F) is critical to preserving its natural sweetness, maximizing the creamy froth, and avoiding unwanted bitterness.
