A Matcha Crafted for Connoisseurs
As the newest addition to our lineup, Kanza was developed in response to matcha enthusiasts who appreciate rich, full-bodied blends. Our master blenders carefully crafted this matcha to be the most luxurious and luscious in our collection.
How to Prepare Kanza as Usucha
1. Sift the Matcha
- 2g (0.07 oz) of matcha powder
- 1.5 heaping tea ladles (chashaku) or 1 level teaspoon
- Sift the matcha through a fine strainer for a smooth, lump-free texture
2. Add Hot Water
- 60 mL (2 oz) of water at 80°C (176°F)
- To achieve the perfect temperature, first pour boiling water into a teacup to cool slightly before adding it to the matcha bowl
3. Whisk
- Use a chasen (bamboo whisk) and whisk vigorously for 15 seconds in an “M” motion until frothy
Pro Tips:
・For a creamier texture, whisk using quick, controlled motions
・To fully experience Kanza’s depth, try it as both usucha (thin tea) and koicha (thick tea)
・Savor immediately for the most balanced taste—matcha flavors change as it cools
