How to Prepare Usucha (Thin Tea):

1. Sift 2g (about 1 tsp) of Unkaku matcha into a tea bowl (chawan).
2. Add 70-80ml (2.5-3 oz) of hot water (80°C / 175°F).
3. Whisk vigorously with a bamboo whisk (chasen) in a “W” motion until a smooth, frothy layer appears.
4. Enjoy immediately, savoring its balanced sweetness and refined umami.

How to Prepare Koicha (Thick Tea):

1. Sift 4g (about 2 tsp) of Unkaku matcha into a tea bowl (chawan).
2. Add 30-40ml (1-1.5 oz) of hot water (80°C / 175°F).
3. Whisk slowly in a circular motion until a thick, glossy, and smooth consistency forms—without foam.
