This matcha is soft, light, and refreshingly smooth, offering a creamy, frothy texture that enhances the drinking experience. Despite being an entry-level matcha, it performs exceptionally well, creating a silky, fresh, and well-rounded taste. To preserve its natural sweetness and avoid bitterness, it’s best to use water at 85°C (185°F). The result is a tea that is both calming and energizing, perfect for everyday enjoyment.
How to Prepare
Usucha (Thin Matcha)

Ingredients:
- 1 tsp (2g) matcha powder
- 2.5 fl. oz (75ml) hot water at 185°F (85°C)

Instructions:
- Sift the matcha powder into a warm, dry tea bowl.
- Pour the hot water over the matcha.
- Whisk vigorously with a chasen (bamboo whisk) in a “W” or “M” motion until a fine layer of froth forms.
- Enjoy immediately for the best flavor and texture.
