Wakaki is a refreshing, light matcha blend that stands out for its crisp, clean character. When prepared as usucha, it offers a delightful experience with a soft fragrance, a short aftertaste, and a noticeable astringency, complemented by a subtle sweetness. Preparation Instructions

Sift the Matcha
- Measure 2 g (0.07 oz) of matcha (1.5 heaping tea ladles or 1 level teaspoon).
- Sift the matcha through a fine tea strainer into a ceramic tea bowl for a smooth, even texture.

Add Hot Water
- Heat 60 mL (2 oz) of water to 80°C (176°F).
- Pour boiling water into a teacup to cool it to the ideal temperature before adding it to the tea bowl.

Whisk
- Whisk vigorously for 15 seconds in an "M" motion using a bamboo tea whisk (chasen) until a smooth, frothy consistency forms.
