    How to Prepare Matcha (Usucha Style)

    What you’ll need:

    • 2g of Byakko Matcha

    • Hot water (70–80°C or 158–176°F)

    • Matcha sifter

    • Chawan (matcha bowl)

    • Chasen (bamboo whisk)

    Steps:

    1. Sift the matcha into the bowl to ensure a lump-free, silky result.

    2. Add about 2 oz (60 ml) of hot water.

    3. Whisk quickly in a “W” motion with your chasen until the surface becomes creamy and frothy.
