- Hot water (70–80°C or 158–176°F)
- A small sifter
- Chawan (matcha bowl)
- Chasen (bamboo whisk)
Steps:
- Sift the matcha into the bowl to ensure a smooth, clump-free texture.
- Add hot water (about 2 oz or 60 ml).
- Whisk briskly in a “W” motion until the surface becomes frothy and even.
