How to Prepare Matcha (Traditional Usucha Style)
What you’ll need:
- 1 serving (approx. 2g) of Hatsune Matcha
- Hot water (70–80°C or 158–176°F)
- A small sifter
- Chawan (matcha bowl)
- Chasen (bamboo whisk)
Steps:
- Sift the matcha into the bowl to remove clumps.
- Add hot water (about 2 oz or 60 ml).
- Whisk vigorously in a “W” motion until the tea becomes frothy and even.
