How to Prepare Matcha (Traditional Usucha or Light Koicha Style)
What you’ll need:
- 1 serving (approx. 2g) of Ichifuku Matcha
- Hot water (70–80°C or 158–176°F)
- A small sifter
- Chawan (matcha bowl)
- Chasen (bamboo whisk)
Steps:
- Sift the matcha into the bowl for a smooth, clump-free texture.
- Add hot water (about 2 oz or 60 ml).
- Whisk in a “W” motion until frothy and smooth. For slightly thin koicha, use slightly less water for a concentrated, balanced flavor.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing aroma, clean taste, and a small moment of happiness with Ichifuku.
