    How to Prepare Kitakaze Usucha (Thin Matcha)

    Matcha: 2g (1 heaping chashaku or ½ teaspoon)
    Water: 70-80ml (2.5 oz) at 80°C (176°F)

    1. Warm your chawan (matcha bowl) with hot water, then discard the water and dry the bowl.
    2. Sift the matcha into the bowl to remove clumps and create a smoother texture.
    3. Add the hot water.
    4. Using a bamboo whisk (chasen), whisk briskly in a W or M motion until a fine layer of froth forms on the surface.
    5. Enjoy immediately.

    How to Prepare an Iced Kitakaze Matcha Latte

    Matcha: 3g
    Water: 70-80ml (3 oz) at 80°C (176°F)
    Milk: 4 oz oat milk or milk of choice

    1. Warm the chawan with hot water, then discard and dry.
    2. Sift the matcha into the bowl.
    3. Add the hot water and whisk until smooth and frothy.
    4. Fill a glass with ice.
    5. Pour in the prepared matcha, add milk, and stir well.
    6. Enjoy a refreshing iced matcha latte.
