How to Prepare Your Kyo Mukashi Matcha

For Koicha (Thick Matcha)

Ingredients: 3.5g (approximately 2 teaspoons) of Kyo Mukashi Matcha, 40ml (1.35 fl oz) of hot water (80°C / 176°F)

Instructions:

Sift the matcha into a tea bowl for a silky texture.

Add 40ml of hot water.

Using a bamboo whisk (chasen), mix gently in a circular motion until the matcha reaches a thick, smooth consistency.

For Usucha (Thin Matcha)

Ingredients: 2g (approximately 1 teaspoon) of Kyo Mukashi Matcha, 70ml (2.4 fl oz) of hot water (80°C / 176°F)

Add 70ml of hot water.

Whisk vigorously in a zigzag motion with a bamboo whisk until a fine, creamy foam forms.
