    How to Prepare Nishi no Kawa Usucha (Thin Matcha)

    Matcha: 2g (1 heaping chashaku or ½ teaspoon)
    Water: 70–80ml (2.5 oz) at 80°C / 176°F
    Tools: chawan (matcha bowl), chasen (bamboo whisk), chashaku (bamboo scoop)

    1. Preheat the chawan with hot water, discard, and dry
    2. Sift the matcha into the bowl to remove clumps
    3. Add hot water (not boiling) to preserve delicate flavor
    4. Whisk quickly in a W or M motion until a fine, velvety foam forms

    How to Prepare Iced Nishi no Kawa Matcha Latte

    Matcha: 3g
    Water: 70–80ml (3 oz) at 80°C / 176°F
    Milk: 4 oz oat milk (or milk of choice)
    Tools: chawan (matcha bowl), chasen (bamboo whisk), chashaku (bamboo scoop), glass with ice

    1. Preheat the chawan with hot water, discard, and dry
    2. Sift the matcha into the bowl to remove clumps
    3. Add hot water (not boiling)
    4. Whisk quickly in a W or M motion until smooth and frothy
    5. Pour into a glass with ice, add milk, and stir well
