How to Prepare Usucha (Thin Matcha):

Sift 1–2 grams (about 1/2 to 1 teaspoon) of matcha into a bowl (chawan).

Heat water to around 75–80°C (170–175°F).

Add 60–70 ml (2–2.5 oz) of hot water.

Whisk briskly in a zigzag or “M” motion with a bamboo whisk (chasen) until a fine froth forms on the surface.
