What Makes Uzu no Shiro Special?

Premium Uji-Grown Leaves:

  • Made from shade-cultivated young tea leaves, carefully selected for their natural umami and subtle bitterness.
  • Handpicked and expertly blended to create a harmonious and well-rounded flavor profile.

Stone-Milled for a Velvety Texture:

  • Traditional stone grinding ensures a fine, smooth matcha powder, making it easy to whisk into a frothy, creamy consistency.

Flavor & Aroma Profile:

  • Balanced umami with a touch of refined bitterness.
  • A refreshing, full-bodied aroma that enhances the drinking experience.
  • A vibrant green color, reflecting its freshness and quality.

How to Prepare Uzu no Shiro Usucha (Thin Matcha)

Matcha: 2g (1 heaping chashaku or ½ teaspoon)
Water: 70-80ml (2.5 oz) at 80°C (176°F)
Tools: Chawan (matcha bowl), Chasen (bamboo whisk), Chashaku (bamboo scoop)

1. Preheat the Chawan – Warm the bowl with hot water, discard, and dry.
2. Sift the Matcha – Sifting prevents clumps and ensures a smooth, even texture.
3. Add Water – Pour in hot (not boiling) water to enhance the delicate flavors.
4. Whisk Until Frothy – Using a quick W or M motion, whisk until a light foam forms on the surface.
5. Enjoy Immediately – Savor the silky texture, balanced umami, and refreshing aroma.

Versatile for Culinary Use

  • Perfect for traditional usucha preparation, offering a clean and satisfying matcha experience.
  • Also suitable for matcha-based desserts, such as matcha cakes, cookies, and lattes, thanks to its well-balanced flavor.
