Highest-Tier Uji Matcha from Kyoto, Japan
Kaguraden (神楽殿) is a premium koicha (thick tea) grade matcha sourced from Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. Named after the sacred Shinto hall where ceremonial music, dances, and prayers are held, this full-bodied tea is crafted for an intensely robust koicha experience while also yielding a wonderfully mild and sweet usucha (thin tea) when prepared with slightly more water.
Flavor Profile
Kaguraden is defined by its velvety soft texture and an exceptionally long aftertaste. The complex tasting journey first reveals deep, exciting aromas of chocolate and coffee, followed by sweet, creamy notes, and finishes with a light, floral lift. When whisked into usucha, it transforms into a mild, creamy, and umami-rich cup with a delicious, lingering sweetness.
